A Note to Family & Friends
Wendy Henderson

Wendy Burton and John Henderson - Married @ 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 14, 2009 - The Hermosa Inn, Paradise Valley, AZ

•    •    •

Dear Family and Friends,

Someone once said: "The most wonderful of all things in life, is the discovery of another human being with whom one's relationship has a growing depth, beauty and joy as the years increase. This inner progressiveness of love between two human beings is a most marvelous thing; it cannot be found by looking for it or by passionately wishing for it. It's a Divine Destiny."

This past weekend on November 14th, 2009 we experienced a beautiful wedding ceremony held at the Hermosa Inn in Paradise Valley Arizona and wanted to share with you the details of this very romantic event. I think what made this ceremony so special is the intimacy of the occasion. In attendance were just the Bride and Groom, their two best friends standing up to be witness to their love and the most delightful minister, Larry James. It was high noon on a warm beautiful day, in a tiny little flower garden at the back of the property with a view of the Praying Monk on Camelback Mountain. (Personally, one of my favorite Arizona land marks.)

The bride chose not to wear a veil, just a jeweled headband that matched the sparkle in her eyes and the smile on her face. Her pale cream silk wedding dress was elegant and long with silver high heels poking out just enough in the front to show them off. Her manicured hands were clasped around a bouquet of deep red roses; I must admit she looked more beautiful today then I had ever seen her look before.

Standing across from her was her handsome Groom, proud in his best wedding attire. His black western jacket over a brocade black vest blended nicely with the red in his tie and the red rose boutonniere on his lapel. The creased blue jeans gave away his passion for western living and fit perfectly for the occasion on this cowboy's tall 6'2" frame.

Their two best friends, a man and wife who have been married for years held each other's hand as the bride and groom said their vows, while privately in their hearts renewing their own vows; to carry on the love that has kept their relationship strong for over 30 years.
A rose!

The Bride and Groom incorporated a beautiful Rose Ceremony that I had never seen before, and its message was so touching. The rose is considered a symbol of love and a single rose always means only one thing - it means, "I love you." Two rose buds passed lovingly between them as the minister relayed that it is appropriate for your first gift - as wife and husband - that gift would be a single rose bud.

The minister said, "Within these rose buds, if given proper loving care, is the potential for an even more beautiful expression of Life and Love in the form of the mature flower. And so it is with your marriage, like these rose buds - ready, with proper loving care - to unfold into a very beautiful expression of life."

Never was there a more perfect moment on earth than this. Gazing into each other's eyes with a commitment of forever and overflowing with love as the minister announced to the couple "John and Wendy, I now pronounce you Husband and Wife."

Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment with us in our hearts, because each and every one of you is a part of who we are together. With Loving Thoughts, Wendy and John

With Loving Thoughts,

Wendy and John Henderson
